The second single from Mahaan, starring Vikram in the lead along with Dhruv, was released recently. The makers have now unveiled its next song, titled Pona Povura. Billed as a break up song, the track was released by director Karthik Subbaraj himself from his social media page.

The song has been penned by Asal Kolaar, apart from singing it along with Gaana Muthu. Santhosh Narayanan, who composed the song, expressed his happiness on its release. He tweeted, "#PonaPovura releases tomorrow. Written by the awesome ⁦@AsalKolaar⁩ and sung by my favourite #GanaMuthu (sic)."

Interestingly, the four-minute song didn't feature any visuals from the film. Instead, it is the film's crew members who are seen appearing in it from the beginning to the end. The office stuff, assistant directors, associate directors, costume designer and associate editor among others are seen performing for the song in the office room.

The entire song, which features soulful lyrics, coupled with Gaana genre, has been picturized in two shots in the interior and exterior of the room. Actors Deepak Paramesh, Sananth and Muthukumar join towards the end of the song, along with dance choreographer Sherif and action director Dinesh Subbarayan.

Karthik Subbaraj and editor Vivek Harshan also appear in the song, but they are seen showing their disinterest in performing to the song as they are busy with the post production works of the movie.

The makers recently released the character posters of Simran, Muthukumar and Sananth. Mahaan will release in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam under the same title. The gangster flick will be released under the title Maha Purusha in Kannada.
