Pon Ondru Kanden Release date
Pon Ondru Kanden is set to be released on April 14. The romantic comedy film has opted for a direct premiere on JioCinema and the television channel Colors Tamil on the occasion of the Tamil New Year. The film will be enjoying a solo release that day. Coincidentally, two romantic comedies, DeAr and Romeo, were also released for the weekend on April 11.

The trailer of Pon Ondru Kanden was released recently. The fun-filled trailer reveals Ashok Selvan playing the role of a gynaecologist who also has an active romantic life. Meanwhile, Vasanth Ravi plays Sai, who has no girlfriend. It so happens that both fall in love with the same girl, played by Aishwarya Lekshmi. Confused on whom to choose, the trailer shows the romantic moments they share.

Pon Ondru Kanden is headlined by Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vasanth Ravi, who will be sharing the screen space for the first time. The film is directed by Priya V Kamakshi, who has previously helmed Kanda Naal Mudhal, starring Laila, Prasanna and others. Pon Ondru Kanden has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Speaking about working in the film, Vasanth Ravi said, “Kanda Naal Mudhal is one of my favourite films. So, when she (director V Priya) came to me with the Pon Ondru Kanden script, I was already invested in working with the same team.”

Pon Ondru Kanden has skipped the theatrical run and will release on JioCinema on April 14. At the same time, the film will premiere on Colors Tamil TV at 2 pm, on Tamil New Year.
