Pisasu 2 release window: Andrea Jeremiah’s film with Mysskin gets new update

We had earlier reported that actor-singer Andrea Jeremiah will be headlining the upcoming Tamil sequel Pisasu 2, helmed by filmmaker Mysskin. On the occasion of the actor's birthday on Saturday, the makers announced that the film will hit theatres in March 2025. An exact date is yet to be announced by the makers.

Pisasu 2 release window

Director Mysskin who has been seen in films like Leo, Devil and Maaveeran, is working on his directorial film Pisasu 2. The film is the sequel to the director's 2014 film Pisaasu. The sequel marks Mysskin's return to filmmaking after a gap of five years, given his last film was Psycho in 2020.

Now, on the occasion of Andrea Jeremiah’s birthday, the makers announced that Pisasu 2 will hit theatres in March 2025. The film’s release date is yet to be announced.

It is to be noted that Pisasu 2 had completed censor formalities long ago and got A certification. The film faced many delays after it was slated for release in 2022. The technical crew consists of music by composer Karthik Raja and camera cranked by cinematographer Siva Santhakumar. Editing is handled by Keerthana and Susil Umapathy. Pisasu 2 is bankrolled by T Muruganantham, under the banner of Rockfort Entertainment, who have distributed films like Meesaya Murukku, Meyadha Maan and Naan Sirithal.

Pisaasu is a 2014 Tamil horror film, helmed by Mysskin and produced by filmmaker Bala. The star cast includes Naga, Rajkumar Pitchumani, Ashvatt alongside Radharavi, Kalyani Natarajan, Prayaga Martin and Harish Uthaman. The film is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

It revolves around a violinist who experiences paranormal activities after a girl, he tries to save from an accident, dies. But only later he realises that the spirit of the girl is aiding him to find the killer. The film opened to a positive reception, setting expectations for the sequel.
