Pindam is a perfect blend of emotions and unique thrills, says Sai Kiran Daida

Pindam is a Telugu horror film that is hitting the screens worldwide on December 15, 2023. Directed by debutante Sai Kiran Daida, the film is produced by Yeshwanth Daggumati under the banner Kalaahi Media. The film stars actor Sriram in the lead, while Easwari Rao, Ravi Varma, Srinivas Avasarala, Sriram, and Kushee Ravi play key roles.

Divulging insights about his debut film, director Sai Kiran said that his grandmother narrated a spine-chilling story that took place sometime ago in the Nalgonda district. "It stuck in my brain, as it was the most gruesome and horrifying incident ever. When I decided to make films, I took this incident as the backdrop and started adding more fictional elements," he said.

Adding further, he said, "The strength of Pindam is its writing. How compelling the story is what matters. Despite not having a big star cast, Pindam banks completely on its screenplay. My primary focus was on the scare element in the film. I am confident that it got articulated very well in the end."

He also added that Pindam doesn't deliberately scare you. The film has an organic flow with an intense story. The fear factor is built when people get connected to the characters in the film. 

Sai Kiran is super thrilled and says that with the massive response we got from the teaser and trailer, a major part of the film's business in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was closed within a few days after the trailer got released.
