Vijay Antony is gearing up for the release of Pichaikkaran 2 which also marks his directorial debut. Though many consider this as a sequel to the runaway hit Pichaikkaran, the musician-turned-actor-turned-filmmaker clarified recently that the film is not connected to the 2016 release.

The movie's trailer was unveiled three weeks ago and makers are awaiting its release in Tamil and Telugu on May 19. Kavya Thapar plays the female lead in the project which has Radha Ravi, Y Gee Mahendran, John Vijay, Dev Gill and Yogi Babu among others essaying key roles in it.
The team has now released a funny sneak peek video which culminates with a suspense. It begins with Yogi Babu, a beggar, approaching a couple who is about to leave a supermarket after shopping. He is surprised to see her ex-lover along with her husband and requests him to provide money.
A reference to Vijay Antony has also been included in the scene after which a co-beggar expresses astonishment at Yogi Babu's skill in convincing people to donate money to him. In another sequence, he is seen showing the QR code attached to his shirt to a person when the latter says he doesn't have any money to offer him.
Later, he orders food from a leading restaurant through a phone call and asks them to deliver it at a posh house in front of which he has been begging for a while. Enter Vijay Antony as a mysterious character who is about to attack Yogi.
