Petta Rap First-Look - Prabhu Deva and Vedhika look ravishing in latest vibrant poster

The wait is over! The first-look poster from Prabhu Deva-starrer Petta Rap has officially been released. On Valentine’s Day, the makers of the film have unveiled the first-look poster of Prabhu Deva and Vedhika in a dance pose. The vibrant poster has the lead actors sporting colourful attire and flexing a funky pose. The dance icon is seen sporting a yellow jacket and white pants, while Vedhika looks stylish in a pink tank top and denim daisy dukes. Both look ravishing in the new poster, and we are totally digging this intriguing fresh look! 

Petta Rap, a musical actioner

Directed by Malayalam director S J Sinu, who is known for directing Malayalam films like Theru (2023) and Djibouti (2021), Petta Rap marks his Tamil directorial debut. The film, which is touted to be a musical actioner, is written by Dinil PK and is inspired from Prabhu Deva’s superhit song Petta Rap from Shankar directorial romantic film Kadhalan.  

An earlier motion poster from the film featured a vibrant neon look of a city and a billboard with “Sing, action, Dance repeat” written below the title Petta Rap. From the first glance, the film hints at an action musical, full of dance songs. Jobi P Sam will be producing the film under Blue Hill Films in collaboration with Blue Hill Nael Communication.  

Prabhu Deva’s next with Thalapathy Vijay

The Dance icon has signed a couple of interesting projects including a pivotal role in Thalapathy Vijay’s sci-fi action thriller The Greatest Of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Earlier, a poster of ‘Vijay’s Squad’ was released which featured leading man Thalapathy Vijay alongside Jeans star Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and actor Ajmal Ameer, who play the role of his squad members and closest friends. Their uniforms also suggest that all the four of them are playing special commandos in The Greatest Of All Time.

Apart from The GOAT, the actor will also be seen in a dark comedy titled Jolly O Gymkhana, directed by Sakthi Chidambaram of Charlie Chaplin (2002) fame. Actress Madonna Sebastian will be playing the female lead in the film.
