Perusu, the recently released 2025 Tamil film starring Vaibhav, Sunil and others, is all set to make its OTT debut. As reported earlier, the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix. On Friday, the streaming giant announced that Perusu will premiere on April 11. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with English subtitles.

Perusu is a Tamil adult comedy drama, which released in theatres in March. At times when cinema is talking about taboo topics, Perusu is a recent example. An adult comedy, the film is A-rated film. It is about an old man who is much respected in the village, dies with a condition of post-mortem erection, making it difficult for the family members to conceal it from the villagers and conduct his funeral.
On Friday, Netflix announced the streaming date. Perusu will begin streaming from April 11 onwards, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The cast of the film includes Sunil and Vaibhav (who are real-life brothers) in the leading roles, famous influencer Niharika NM in her debut, Chandini, Deepa Shankar, Redin Kingsley, Bala Saravanan amongst others. The film is written and directed by Ilango Ram who has also made the film in Sinhalese as Tentigo.
Produced by Stone Bench Films and Baweja Studios, Perusu technical crew includes cinematographer Sathya Thilakam, composer Arun Raj and editor Sooriya Kumaraguru.
Hansal Mehta to remake Tentigo in Hindi
Soon after the release of Tentigo, which released along with Perusu in theatres, Hansal Mehta announced that he will be remaking the film in Hindi. Karan Vyas, who has worked in Hansal Mehta's Scam 1992, Scam 2003 (which are available on OTTplay Premium) and Scoop, will be in charge of adapting the film to Hindi, while casting director Mukesh Chhabra will be making his debut as producer.
The cast and crew of the Hindi remake have not yet been announced.
