People know Sulli as the public figure whose life revolved around the glamor of the entertainment industry. However, the upcoming documentary strives to unveil the lesser-known side of the deceased star, who passed away at the age of 25. It also marks the singer-actress' last work project before her untimely death.

Choi Jin-Ri, who was recognized by her stage name Sulli rose to fame as a member of SM Entertainment girl band f(x). The pop star started her career at a young age as she featured as a child actress but found stardom as she debuted with the five-member girl group.

Netflix is gearing up to portray the significant events in the career and life of the K-pop idol whose sudden death shook the world.

About the posthumous film

The documentary divided into two parts, the first one, directed by Hwang Soo-ah and Kim Ji-hye, is a short drama titled 4: Clean Island. The plot revolves around a special pig called 4, and its dream to immigrate to a clean island, which is the heavenly, cleanest place. However, the bumpy ride requires him to confess his sins throughout the life span. The short features Sulli as the lead, alongside Hwang Min-young and Park Gabi.

The second part of Persona: Sulli is the highly anticipated documentary, Dear Jinri that narrates the multifaceted life of the Korean idol. It brings the dark side of the spotlight that surrounds artists.

The dual identity of Sulli and Choi Jin-ri will bring out different aspects of stardom and personal crisis.

The singer reportedly took her own life after she faced emotional stress and troubles in her life.
