The much-loved romantic television show Permanent Roommates returns for its eagerly awaited third season. The sitcom, starring Sumeet Vyas and Nidhi Singh as the charming couple Mikesh and Tanya, revives its charm after a protracted pause after captivating audiences for its first two seasons.
Recently, when OTTplay got an opportunity to speak exclusively with the director of the show, Shreyansh Pandey, he shared his ideas on how important it is for any production to have an esteemed OTT platform. He said: "I think it plays a very important role because finally where the audience is watching the show makes a big impact. I still remember that we released season 1 on YouTube and then season 2 came on YouTube as well as the TVFplay app and there weren’t any OTT platforms during those days. And as I remember we used to have a lot of streaming issues, we used to play and wait for it to load for a longer time."
Adding to this Sumit Vyas shared a lovely memory from the time when the first season of Permanent Roommates was released. He said, “I still remember the day the app was launched, it was the day when Permanent Roommates was going to start streaming and Arunabh called us and said you join us when it is launching. So on one screen, the episode was streaming and on another screen, we could see the graph which gave the idea about how much traction the show is attracting. And as soon as the show was launched, the graph kept getting upwards and upwards and it just hung after going all up. And it was so exciting."
The third season of Permanent Roommates, which was created by The Viral Fever and directed by Shreyansh Pandey, is currently streaming on Prime Video.
