Comedian-actress Kusha Kapila, who is playing an interesting part in the upcoming web series Minus One: New Chapter, talks about how dealing with breakups helps an individual to rebuild themselves.
Breaking stereotypes and challenging the traditional norm of ‘happily ever after’, the show will strike a chord with everyone who may be in, out, or in the middle of a relationship. Kusha appears at a very crucial juncture of the narrative.
Talking about her character in the show and how she deals with a breakup, Kusha said, “The show is so different from any other romantic shows out there. It’s not afraid of showing conflicts. Every day is not the same in a relationship, especially where people cohabitate.”
The series, according to her, not only depicts love but also disagreements, unrest, longevity and tough decisions that are made. The story of the two protagonists - Varun and Ria - is shown in such a manner that every individual who has gone through the same path will relate to it.
Kusha further said, “When it comes to dealing with these situations, heartbreaks and rejections are inevitable. The more we focus on building ourselves up, the more we will be able to handle the situations better.”
She started her career as a content creator and went on to act in some of the prominent projects that include films - like Ghost Stories and Plan A Plan B - and series like Masaba Masaba as well as non-fiction shows like Comicstaan and Case Toh Banta Hai. She also participated in LOL: Hasse Toh Phasse and hosted the comedy show Comicstaan season 3.
Produced by Writeous Studios and created by Sidhantha Mathur and Shubham Yogi, Minus One: New Chapter features Ayush Mehra and Aisha Ahmed as a lead pair. It’s releasing on February 14 on Lionsgate Play.
