Pellikuturu Party actor Sai Ketan Rao paired opposite Amandeep Sidhu for his new TV show

Actor Sai Ketan Rao, who shot to fame with his appearances in Aparna Malladi’s wedding comedy Pellikuturu Party, ZEE5’s web show Three Half Bottles and another popular TV show Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali, has begun work on his next, a television show set in Amritsar, Punjab. He’s cast as Raunak Reddy, the main lead in the show, touted to be a love-revenge drama. Interestingly, his character is a mishmash of two cultures – he’s half Delhite and half Hyderabadi in the same.

Shot primarily in Mumbai and Amritsar, the filming of the untitled show had commenced in December 2022. He is paired opposite Amandeep Sidhu in the project. He had signed the dotted line in August 2022 for the project produced by Sol Productions, best known for backing Balakrishna’s chat show Unstoppable with NBK. We hear Sai Ketan was approached by its creative producer Sandip Sikchand and it demanded a lot out of him (from his auditions that lasted a month) to be finalised as the lead.

Sources suggest the show promises to be a visual feast and the actor is unwilling to spill the beans about it. Sai Ketan, however, says the working environment has been wonderful and is moulding the performer in him as he associates with a new, young team. Beyond television shows, the young actor hopes to make a mark with his films, web shows and make a mark in Hindi and Tamil projects beyond Telugu. He’s a fitness enthusiast and had forayed into the entertainment industry with the TV serial Agni Sakshi.

Sai Ketan briefly worked for an Australian Company after his academic stint and sharpened his skills during his tryst with theatre. Besides short films and feature films, he has founded a banner Aurum Motion Pictures as well.
