Payal Rajput turns a fierce cop in her next - Title, release date, and star cast details are here

Payal Rajput is one of the most popular actors in Telugu cinema. Her choice of roles has ensured that she is a class apart from other actresses. In her last film, Mangalavaaram, directed by Ajay Bhupathi, she was seen as a nymphomaniac. The film ended as a decent hit and earned Payal rave reviews from the critics. 

Payal Rajput's next titled Rakshana

Now, she has once again changed gears and will be seen as a fierce cop in her new film, Rakshana. This is the first time she will be seen in a cop's role, and the makers revealed Payal's look from the film. She is amazing in the swanky new poster. Her attitude in the poster shows that Payal will be playing yet another hard-hitting role. The makers plan to release the film in the last week of July 2024, as per the news.

Rakshana is named after Nagarjuna's yesteryear film with the same name. Based on a real-life incident, Rakshana is a gritty crime investigative crop drama loaded with twists and thrills. The film is being directed and produced by Pradeep Thakore. Roshan and Manas will be seen in key roles in this film, which is fast completing its shoot. Payal Rajput is known for her performances, and once again, she will be seen in a dark role, as per the reports. Her character drives the film and Rakshana will have some bold crime scenes, as per the news.

One of the team members revealed to us that Payal Rajput had given extra effort to prepare for her role as a cop. Her dialogue delivery, action blocks, and emotional outbursts will be one of the highlights, says the source. The post-production of the film is also happening simultaneously, and the thrills showcased in the film will be quite gripping, say the makers.

Mahati Swara Sagar composes the tunes for this film, whereas Haripriya Creations is the production house. Rajeev Kanakala and Shivannarayana also play key characters in this film, which has camerawork by Anil Bhandari. We need to see how Payal plays the role of a cop for the first time in her career. For now, the first look of Rakshana looks interesting.
