Pawan Kalyan fearlessly reveals his salary: My average pay is Rs 2 crore per day

Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan is one of the highest-paid actors in India. While there were speculations about how much he makes per film, there was no definitive answer to it. At least till now. While addressing a political rally recently, Pawan revealed his average pay per day to underline the message that he was not seeking political power for the sake of making money. 

"I don't desire money. I'm not that kind of person. If required I will give away what I have earned. I am telling you without fear that I am shooting for a movie now. And my pay is Rs 2 crore per day. Approximately, I earn Rs 45 crore if I work for 20 days. I'm not saying that I earn so much for every movie but that's my average pay. That's the status you have given me," he revealed in front of hundreds of people who gathered to hear his speech. 

Pawan is now shooting for the Telugu remake of the Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham. The Telugu remake is helmed by Samuthirakani, who also directed the Tamil original. Pawan is reprising the role which was originally played by Samuthirakani. The movie follows the supernatural events in the life of an average joe. The character played by Thambi Ramiah dies and is resurrected after he requests the 'God of time' to give him an extension of three months to put his house in order. 

While Pawan is playing the god, Sai Dharam Tej is essaying the role of the average joe. 

The Telugu remake is written by Trivikram Srinivas. And it will open in cinemas later this year.
