Pathu Thala: Sharing screen space with Silambarasan is a dream come true, says Teejay Arunasalam

Teejay Arunasalam has revealed that with Pathu Thala, his long-pending dream of working with Silambarasan TR has indeed come true. The actor dropped a picture of his character in the film, Selvin and stated that there were times when he dreamt of meeting Silambarasan. Today's he can't believe that he is acting along with him. Taking to his social media handle, Teejay wrote, "Guna Selvin Hope you all enjoyed my performance in STR's #PathuThala There were days where I dreamt to just meet @SilambarasanTR_ annan. But now! I've shared screen space with him as #Selvin Love you #AGR (sic)."

The actor had also revealed in an earlier post that he was inspired by Silambarasan's growth from the Little Superstar title to Atman. He had added that he used to collect movie posters, DVDs & audio cassettes of the actor. He wrote, "Happy Birthday to my dear Annan, @SilambarasanTR_ Very inspired by his growth, from a #LittleSuperStar to being an #Atman There were times, where I'd collect his movie posters, DVDs & audio cassettes. And now?! I'm acting in a movie with him Love you brother #Simbu (sic).

Pathu Thala has Silambarasan playing a dreaded gangster called AGR and the star cast comprises Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Menon, Teejay Arunasalam, Kalaiyarasan to name a few.

This is the first time that STR is sharing screen space with Gautham Karthik, and he had revealed during the film's audio launch that the only reason he agreed to be part of Pathu Thala was because of Gautham Karthik and his dedication towards work. The actor also stated that he was initially hesitant to put on weight for his role, as he had shed the same with great difficulty just before the beginning of the film. Meanwhile, the film has opened to positive reviews and with the success of Pathu Thala, STR has scored a hatrick after Maanaadu and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.
