Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja has expressed her wish to see the actor reunite with Salman Khan for Partner 2. The first installment was released in 2007.

Salman Khan and Govinda delivered a successful film Partner in 2007. Directed by David Dhawan, the romantic comedy also starred Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. It was received well at the box office. After Partner's success, there were talks about its sequel being made. It was said that David Dhawan was keen to make Partner 2, however, the film was put on hold. In a recent interview, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja said she feels her husband and Salman should return for Partner 2.

Speaking with Hindi Rush, Sunita Ahuja said she had heard about Partner 2 being made. However, she doesn't know what happened later. Having said that, she believes it would be good if Govinda and Salman Khan will reunite for the 2007 film's sequel.
"Karenge toh acha he hai, public ne pasand toh kiya he tha dono ko. (It will be great if they do it. The audience liked them together.)" For the uninitiated, Partner was produced by Sohail Khan and Parag Sanghvi. In the film, Salman played the role of Prem, and Govinda played the character of Diwakar Chaudhary.

Status on Partner 2
Back in 2012, Salman Khan confirmed that Partner 2 had been put on hold. According to PTI, sharing an update about the film's sequel, Khan said, "We were supposed to start Partner 2 around August-September last year. But we couldn't start as the right script didn't come along. So we kicked off Ek Tha Tiger. We have put Partner 2 on hold until we get a proper script."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman will next be seen in filmmaker AR Murugadoss' film Sikandar. The movie's teaser was recently released on social media. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film will have its theatrical release on Eid 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
