Parinayam release date: When and where to watch the Dulquer Salmaan, Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer on OTT

For all those Dulquer Salmaan fans who complain about not being able to watch the actor's Malayalam films in Telugu, there's some good news. One of the actor's biggest hits in 2020 (that he also produced), Varane Avashyamund, that also stars many big names like Kalyani Priyadarshan, Suresh Gopi, Urvashi and Shobana in lead roles is getting dubbed into Telugu as Parinayam. The Telugu version of the Anoop Sathyan-directed film will have a global premiere on the regional OTT platform aha on September 24. Parinayam's trailer was launched earlier today.

Parinayam follows the story of a single parent Neena, who shifts base to a new city and bags a job as a French teacher. She has a 20s something daughter Nikhitha, who firmly believes in arranged marriages and is desperate to find the right match for her. Two of their neighbours, Major Unnikrishnan and a youngster Bibeesh, (nicknamed Fraud) who reside in the same apartment, transform their world in many ways. Neena finds a new companion in the form of Unnikrishnan, while Nikhitha strikes a rapport with Fraud, and also needs to get over a heartbreak and start life on a new slate.

KPAC Lalitha essays a crucial role in the film that has a beautiful, catchy score by Alphons Joseph and shot exquisitely by Mukesh Muraleedharan. Parinayam is edited by Toby John and has lyrics by Santhosh Varma. The Malayalam version of the film received rave reviews from critics and audiences and makes for a pleasant watch with the romance, emotions, humour packaged smartly with a maturity you hardly witness from a first-time director. With faces like Shobana, Dulquer, Kalyani, Parinayam is a good pick by aha and has all the right elements to click wth Telugu audiences as well.
