The title teaser of Parasakthi, which has been so far called as SK 25, was unveiled on social media on Wednesday. Starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, the film is directed by Sudha Kongara and also stars Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali and Sreeleela in prominent characters.
However, with the release of the Parasakthi teaser, fans inevitably could not stop comparing it with Suriya, given how the film was initially mounted with the Kanguva actor. As things did not materialise as expected, Suriya and the then cast members of Vijay Varma, Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Fahadh, are no longer attached to the project. The Parasakthi teaser created much discussion online, with fans being reminded of a certain Suriya character once again.
Sivakarthikeyan, who is choosing strong scripts, is joining hands with director Sudha Kongara for Parasakthi. The project’s title teaser was released recently, and netizens were quick to remember how the film was initially planned with Suriya.
The title teaser showed a period setting, where the main cast is introduced. We also see that the story will mainly focus on a protest staged by students. Sivakarthikeyan is seen as the leader of the revolution. Fans were quick to compare it with Suriya’s another character, Michael from Aayutha Ezhuthu, in which the actor played an active student leader who stood up to corrupt forces. Check out some of the reactions of netizens, comparing the two films, below:
Parasakthi is produced by Dawn Pictures. It marks several firsts, Sivakarthikeyan’s first collaboration with Sudha Kongara, Ravi Mohan playing the antagonist, and Sreeleela’s Tamil debut. GV Prakash is scoring music for the film, while Ravi Chandran is the director of photography. Parasakthi is yet to get a release date.
