Parambrata Chatterjee is all set to start a new journey on television as a reality show host. While his contemporary actors, including Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu U Sengupta, are regulars on music or dance reality shows, Parambrata will be anchoring a reality show that encourages women entrepreneurs from all over Bengal.
As per sources, the shooting of the show, Dhonyi Meyer Upakhyan, is on and the show will commence in May on Star Jalsha. “The idea of the show is to encourage women entrepreneurs. Participants will be pitching their business ideas to the judges. The champion will receive an investment from the title sponsor. Parambrata will be anchoring the show. Along with the guest judges, there are three eminent women entrepreneurs of Bengal – Keya Seth, Rochita Dey, and Joita Sen – who will judge the show,” said the source, adding that Dhonyi Meyer Upakhyan follows the idea of other business reality shows but is simpler.
Meanwhile, Parambrata will soon be seen as Feluda in Zee5’s web series Shabash Feluda. Directed by Arindam Sil, the show is based on Satyajit Ray’s iconic story, Gangtok Gondogol. With Rwitobroto Mukherjee as Topshey, the web series also features Ritwick Chakraborty and Rudranil Ghosh.
Meanwhile, after a long controversy, the release of Parambrata and Swastika Mukherjee’s political thriller Shibpur was postponed. Instead of May 5, the film now is likely to be released in June-July.
