Parambrata Chatterjee on his wedding rumour: Why not! I have four wives in four cities | Exclusive

A blind item on a news portal suggesting actor Parambrata Chatterjee getting married to his girlfriend took the social media by storm on Sunday late evening. The piece suggested that the actor ‘secretly tied the knot’ with his girlfriend – a former wife of a musician. However, sources close to Parambrata refuted the news.

OTTplay reached out to the actor. An infuriated and frustrated Parambrata sarcastically replied, “Yes, of course, I would like to issue a statement on this. Not one, I actually got married four times secretly across four cities. One in Kolkata, one in Mumbai, one in London, and one in Dhaka – the cities I travel to the most and work. I have four establishments in these four cities, and hence, my establishment cost has gone through the roof.” 

The Mithya-actor is currently in Mumbai when the news broke. He has been dating a musician-scholar for a while now, and sources close to them confirmed that while their relationship is going on perfectly well, there is no immediate plan for them to get hitched. 

Meanwhile, Parambrata is all set with his new film Biye Bibhrat. Directed by Raja Chanda, the comedy also features Abir Chatterjee and Lahoma Bhattacharya in the lead. Along with this release, the first teaser of Parambrata’s new Hindi project, Pavan Wadeyar’s Awasthi Vs Awasthi, was also dropped on Friday. This will be his first Hindi film as the lead male actor.
