While Pankaj Tripathi is quite omnipresent in both the film world and the OTT space, one project that has garnered most of the limelight is "Main ATAL Hoon". The movie, featuring him in the role of India’s three-time former Prime Minister, Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, has been the talk of the town for a while now. The film, which was in production for quite some time, is back to making headlines as the makers have now announced the release date of the film.
"Main ATAL Hoon," helmed by acclaimed director Ravi Jadhav, stars Tripathi in the leading role and will now be released in 2024. The movie has been set for a January 19 release, placing it just a week before Republic Day. The release date announcement is sure to cause a stir on the internet, as new posters featuring Pankaj Tripathi have also made their way to the internet.
The posters feature Pankaj Tripathi as Atal Bihari Vajpayee and showcase the PMO’s office, along with a creative that includes various political leaders. The four posters have the taglines ‘Heart of Gold, Man of Steel’ and 'The poet who rewrote history' written on them.

Pankaj Tripathi On Playing Atal Bihari Vajpayee
When the first look came out, Pankaj Tripathi’s transformation had left us all stunned. Later, he revealed how he only ate khichdi for many days to prepare for the part. As per Wion, while talking about his research and one thing that is common between him and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pankaj Tripathi said, "During my research for the movie "Main Atal Hoon," I found out, and it’s also widely known, that apart from politics and diplomacy, Atalji was a great poet and had an immense love and attachment towards literature and language too. Through my research, I find out he used to do poetry to convey his state of mind. I could relate to that because good poetry has a deep effect on me too, especially Hindi poetry."
The actor continued, "I grew up reading some of the great writers, and sometimes, being inspired by them, I scribble a few lines in the form of poems too. It was nice to know that there are poems and poets that Atalji and I commonly like." "Main ATAL Hoon" hits the big screen on January 19, 2024.
