Actor Joju George is making his directorial debut with the Malayalam film, Pani. Now, the makers have dropped a major update about its release. The action drama will hit the big screen on August 1. The tagline for the film is ‘An eye for an eye’, hinting at a plot centered on revenge.
The movie's lead actors, Joju George and Abhinaya, are seen in the motion poster, which was unveiled in May. Sagar Surya and Junaiz, two former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestants, also have significant roles in this film. All of them look rugged, with the exception of the main female character. Pani's filming was completed in February.
Photos of the female lead, Gauri, and the hero Giri, strolling around the Thrissur Vadakkumnathan Temple have gone viral on social media recently.
Pani’s poster launch in Bigg Boss Malayalam 6
The first poster for the movie was revealed on May 27 during Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6. The actors Joju George, Abhinaya, Sagar Surya, and Junaiz entered the house to talk with the contestants and about the movie. The principal theme of the film, according to both the director and the actor, is trying to exact revenge for two distinct situations.
"After waiting for Sagar and Junaiz to leave the show, I spoke with them about this project. I was sceptical that I could lose a lot of money making this movie, so I struggled for almost a year. I had not worked on any films for a year because of this project," Joju said on the popular reality show. He claims that Pani is mostly shot in various locations in Thrissur district.

Sujith Shanker, Alexander Prasanth, singer Abhayaa Hiranmayi, Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Babu Namboothiri, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis make up the supporting cast of the film. The movie's screenplay was written by the director. This movie has been financially supported by M Riaz Adam and Sijo Vadakkan. Sam C S composed the project's original score and soundtracks.
