Panchayat season 3 release date: Here’s what Jitendra Kumar has to say about new season

Actor Jitendra Kumar is currently basking in the glory of the success of Panchayat 2 on Amazon Prime Video. Also starring Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav, the show has been receiving a tremendous response for its performances and story. So, there is no doubt that the makers will renew the show for another season. And now, even the lead actor Jitendra Kumar has spilled some beans about it.

Jitendra Kumar recently spoke about the possibility for Panchayat 3 in an interview with the Free Press Journal. Speaking about facing any pressure to reprise the role in Season 2 after the success of Season 1 of Panchayat, Jitendra said he did not face any pressure. According to him, people also enjoy Season 2 because of the storyline and moments, which are well-executed by the actors. He added that he hopes the audience will also love Season 3 as much as they loved the first two seasons.

He said, "We received loads of love then hope this time also they take out some time. We are hoping for Panchayat season three as well.” Now, call it a slip of tongue, but it sure looks like there is going to be another season of the fan-favourite show.

Fans are now eagerly awaiting the third season and have already been tweeting asking if it is too early to ask about Season 3.

Jitendra spoke about type casting in the film industry too. Since he is completely familiar with the industry's pattern, he commented, "I feel that unless I do anything weird in the future, I will not be in a different role." He follows a process to shortlist the shows or films he wants to be a part of. Before embarking on any part in a film or television series, the actor needs to know how the story will be presented on the screen. "After that, I see if I will be interested in doing this character and if it will be fun," he said.
