After two successful seasons, Amazon Prime Video is coming back with the third season of Panchayat. The greatly anticipated show, which takes place in rural India has Jitendra Kumar playing the role of Abhishek Tripathi. As we know Jitendra's character in the show is a man from the city who is forced to live in the small village, Phulera, and trying to settle down in a place which lacks facilities like cities. In a recent interview, Jitendra talked about how he took inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan's character in Swades.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Jitendra Kumar, who plays the character of an engineer in the show said that when he was initially listening to the story, he thought that there were some similarities of his character with SRK's Mohan from Swades. "He also reluctantly comes to his village just to live for a couple of days. So, we thought that people might highlight this. But we used it as an inspiration in the show, he said.
"In Season 1, the friend also refers to this, but we added those elements. But it never appeared as an obstacle. We used it well. So, it never crossed our minds that it is similar to SRK’s character. In fact, I love Swades, so I was really excited to do something in the same zone", the actor further added.

Meanwhile, after impressing the audience with two seasons, Panchayat Season 3 is all set to bring new problems with interesting twists and turns. Neena Gupta, Jitendra Kumar, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik, and Raghubir Yadav, will all be returning with their characters for the upcoming season.
The Viral Fever is developing Panchayat Season 3, with direction by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar's writing. On May 28, the new season will debut on Prime Video in Hindi with Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada dubs.
