The Jitendra Kumar and Neena Gupta starrer Panchayat 2 is winning hearts all over the country. The latest comedy-drama series is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The show has emerged with various dialogues and memes that have been catching up over the internet. Meanwhile, if have watched the second instalment of Panchayat, you must have come across the term Banrakas in the show several times.
Actor Durgesh Kumar, who plays an antagonist, Bhushan, in Panchayat 2 has often been often called 'Banrakas' on the show by other actors. The budding actor has been struggling in the Indian film industry for almost a decade now.
Talking about his character and the fame it's getting, Durgesh said in a recent interview with Indian Express that he is actually very surprised that his character Bhushan aka Banrakas has become such a piece of news among the Panchayat fans. He further mentioned, "In fact, when I was performing I had no idea people would love it so much. I give full credit to the writer and director of Panchayat 2 for creating Banrakas."
The actor who is currently on cloud nine jokingly added that there is a Banrakas (an evil) hidden in everyone but people don't bring it, however, when writers and directors demanded him to reveal his evilness in front of the camera, he gladly did it.
Durgesh has appeared in a lot of films and shows in the industry, meanwhile, he bagged the longer screentime and recognisable appearance in a supporting role in the Alia Bhatt-Randeep Huda starrer highway.
Makers have confirmed that Panchayat is set to have a total of five seasons, while the third instalment is currently in the works.
