Earlier this week, we reported that Palak Tiwari had revealed a "rule" that her Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Salman Khan has on the sets of his films.
Palak, who worked as an assistant director on Salman's 2021 film Antim: The Final Truth, said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan that Salman wanted the women on his set to be dressed like "good, proper girls" who didn't wear revealing clothes with plunging necklines.
She had said in the interview, "When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, I don't think many people know this, but Salman sir had a rule: 'Ki koi bhi ladki mere set pe, neckline should be here, all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’."
Calling Salman a traditionalist, Palak added that this rule was in place to "protect" all the women on set.
Considering that her revelation went viral days ahead of the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Palak has issued a clarification, saying that she has been misunderstood.
ETimes quoted her as saying that she has set certain guidelines when it comes to dressing for herself when she is around seniors, and Salman is one of them.
Palak said, "It's really been misunderstood. All I wanted to say is that I have set certain guidelines for myself as to how to dress around people who are way senior to me, who I have pretty much grown up idolising. Salman sir is, of course, one of them."
Palak will next be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, and Raghav Juyal. The film will release in theatres on Eid.
