Palak Sindhwani is known for the role of Sonu Bhide in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress has been in the headlines for quite some time for all the wrong reasons. All these began when the makers of the show planned to issue a legal notice to the actress for breaching the contract and endorsing third-party brands. She then accused the show's producers of mental harassment. However, Palak has now opened up about her decision to quit the show and revealed she has been planning on doing this for a long time.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Palak Sindhwani said that she has been considering quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for some time and mentioned that it is because of some health issues. She said, “I always had a thought in my mind that I would do TV for three years, and then I’d take a break. At times, TV becomes very hectic because you are shooting for 27 days or 20 days and you are always on your toes.”
The actress also revealed that she has been advised by her doctor to maintain a healthy lifestyle where she gets enough sleep and she wouldn't get that if she was working on the show. She also said that she was planning to quit the show in December 2023 for the first time but the production head told her, ‘No, not now. Now another co-actor is leaving,’ so she stayed.
Palak also mentioned that she was being mistreated on the show and added that she doesn't feel like doing TV now as after giving 5 years, this has happened.
