Mrinal Kulkarni and Eisha Singh are set to share screen space in a new series, Paithani. It will be released on ZEE5 on November 15. Directed by Gajendra Ahire, the series showcases the story of a mother and daughter encouraging each other in life and overcoming struggles together. Ahead of the release, the makers introduced us to Mrinal's character, Godavari.
On November 9, ZEE5 shared a new promo of Paithani. The clip introduces us to the character of Mrinal Kulkarni. She will be seen playing a doting mother and an expert weaver, Godavari.
The promo shows Godaveri getting kicked out of her in-law's house as she gave birth to a girl. She takes her daughter, Kaveri (Eisha Singh), and starts living on her own by weaving traditional Paithani sarees. The promo shows the story of the mother who confronts several difficulties while raising her kid but does not give up. On the other hand, when her daughter, Kaveri grows up and wants to help her mother in weaving sarees, Godavari says she should concentrate on fulfilling her dreams.

Sharing the promo, the streaming platform captioned it, "Godavari – a master weaver and caring mother. Witness her journey of struggle, resilience, and strength in #Paithani. Paithani premieres 15th November, only on #ZEE5."
The series, directed by Gajendra Ahira, features Mrinal Kulkarni (plays Godavari), Eisha Singh (plays Kaveri), Shivam Bhaargava (plays Vinay Bhanushali), Syed Zafar Ali (plays Nana), and Sangeeta Balachandran (plays Ganga Ajji) in pivotal roles.
Talking about her role as Godavari in Paithani, Mrinal Kulkarni said that her character embodies the obligation of being a mother. She also molds her daughter into a strong woman through adversity, giving her mother the strength she needs.
In an official statement, Gajendra Ahire said that Paithani is a heartfelt tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra, which is embodied in the beautiful Paithani saree.
"Through the journey of a mother and daughter, we explore themes of love, dreams, and the challenges they face together. Naming the show Paithani symbolizes not just the artistry of weaving but also the cherished connections that bind us. It’s a proud moment for our entire team, and we hope to inspire and connect with viewers everywhere through the timeless beauty of Paithani," he added.
