Paithani: Eisha Singh as Kaveri goes all out to buy saree worth Rs 8 lakh for mom as a gift | WATCH

ZEE5's latest heartwarming series, Paithani stars Eisha Singh and Mrinal Kulkarni in the lead roles. They played the roles of daughter Kaveri and mother Godavari respectively. It is a story about how the love and support of a mother and daughter can light their path and make every minute of their journey more precious, even in the face of life's obstacles. Days after the release, the makers dropped a new video of the series.

Paithani new video

On November 19, ZEE5 shared a new video of Paithani on Instagram. The clip shows Eisha Singh as Kaveri buying an 8 lakh Paithani saree that is made by her mother from a shop. Her mother is an expert Paithani saree weaver and she never wears a saree made by herself. So Kaveri decides to gift one to her mother. She says that her mother will like it and adds, "Jo accha lagta hai, uske liye poori jaan laga deni chahiye." (Whatever you like, you should devote your entire life to it.)

Sharing the clip, they captioned it, "Kaveri said, 'Jo accha lagta hai, uske liye poori jaan laga deni chahiye' and we agree #Paithani streaming now only on #ZEE5."

Meanwhile, OTTPlay review of Paithani says, "The Gajendra Ahire directorial is sweet but extremely slow-paced. It romanticizes Mumbai, but that's the only thing the show offers, apart from, obviously, focusing on the beauty of Paithani saree making. You can either give this one a skip or watch the last episode (if you are okay with over-dramatization)."

Mrinal Kulkarni on Paithani

Earlier, talking about the show, Mrinal Kulkarni said that she was honored to portray Godavari, a character who truly represents the responsibilities of being a mother. She also added that despite facing many challenges, the character raised a strong and empowered daughter, who in turn empowered her mother. "I see parts of myself in her journey, and I believe this role will inspire many while highlighting the importance of a mother's love," she added.

The series, directed by Gajendra Ahira, casts Mrinal Kulkarni (plays Godavari), Eisha Singh (plays Kaveri), Shivam Bhaargava (plays Vinay Bhanushali), Syed Zafar Ali (plays Nana), and Sangeeta Balachandran (plays Ganga Ajji) in pivotal roles.
