Jaideep Ahlawat is one of the most popular actors in the film industry. He is predominantly known for his OTT roles. Jaideep Ahlawat belongs to Kharkara, Meham Chaubisi in the Rohtak district of Haryana state. He did his high school from Govt. High School, Kharkara. The actor attended Jat College, Rohtak. Ahlawat also completed Master's in English from Maharshi Dayanand University in 2005. Later, he completed his acting graduation from FTII in 2008. Notably, Rajkummar Rao, Vijay Varma, and Sunny Hinduja were his acting friends.
Not many know that Jaideep wanted to be an Indian Army officer. However, after not clearing his SSB interview, multiple times, he started to focus on acting. He did stage shows in Punjab and Haryana and started taking acting seriously after graduation. He entered the film industry the hard way without any godfather. Finally, after completing his education in 2008, he packed his bags and went to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.
His first role was as a negative character in Priyadarshan's Khatta Meetha (2010). In the same year, he appeared in Aakrosh with Ajay Devgn. After this, he has done films such as Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam (2012).
He gained noticeable success from the Gangs of Wasseypur. He also appeared in a Tamil spy thriller film Vishwaroopam with Haasan, which turned out to be a great success in the South in 2013.
Apart from these, Jaideep was also seen in the series Bard of Blood where he played a negative character. Khaali Peeli was released in October 2020. Bloody Brothers (2022) and The Broken News (2022) starring Jaideep also received positive reviews.
Recently, the actor was seen in Siddharth P. Malhotra's Maharaj. The film marks the debut of Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan. The film is based on the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862 and Saurabh Shah's novel about the case. His other film, Jaane Jaan co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma received a lot of praise from fans.
