The OTTplay Awards 2025 in Mumbai witnessed a star-studded night with many proud recipients. From glam and glitter to unforgettable moments on stage, the award show offered a platform to honour the best artistic talent of the Indian cinema. Actress Divya Dutta bagged the Trailblazer of the Year (Female) at the third edition of OTTplay Award 2025 for her stunning performance in Sharmaji Ki Beti and Bandish Bandits S2. During the event, she delivered a heartfelt speech while recalling her early career days and how Amitabh Bachchan helped her take a step in this iconic journey.
Actress Divya Dutta emerged as one of the winners at the OTTplay Awards 2025, held in Mumbai. She impressed everyone with her encouraging journey in the showbiz industry. While receiving the honours from filmmaker Goldie Behl, Divya Dutta recalled her early career days and how Big B's films led her to the path of cinema. She said, "Ever since I remember when I was five, I would watch this Amitabh Bachchan film and I would say I want to belong to this world of movies. "
Divya also reminisced the gratitude filled moments as her big dreams come true with manifestation and sincerity. "I started daydreaming that I want to be launched by so and so director. Jab aap bahut shiddat se kuch chahte hai tab universe conspires. Toh manzil toh select karli thi aur raasta khud bakhud dhoondti rahi. I have to enjoy and find joy in doing something I love doing the most and I'm so glad I'm getting this award," she added in her acceptance speech.
She later expressed gratitude towards her directors for giving amazing opportunities.
Another heartfelt moment was veteran star Anupam Kher's nostalgia about his debut film Saransh that premiered in 1984.
The mesmerising evening of OTTplay Awards 2025 in Mumbai was graced by top actors from across the states and also brought together the formidable talent from both North and South entertainment industry. Aparshakti Khurana and Kubra Sait co-hosted the star-studded event.
Divya Dutta proved her mettle with the versatile roles in different genres. She was bestowed with Trailblazer of the Year (Female) award on March 22 for her impeccable performances in Sharmaji Ki Beti and Bandish Bandits S2.
Divya nails the character of a struggling housewife in Sharmaji Ki Beti as she battles inner conflicts and identity crisis, while she trades her emotionally driven character with a philosophical one in Bandish Bandits Season 2, where she played the role of Nandini, a music teacher.
OTTplay Awards 2025 also saw the who’s who of Indian OTT space turn up, celebrating the theme - “One Nation, One Award”. The Roshans, Kajol and Avneet Kaur were also honoured at the award function, which had celebs from film industries including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada as they graced the purple carpet.
