The lights were shining bright, as some of the most talented artists marked their attendance at the OTTplay Awards 2025, but two extremely talented artists caught our eye in particular. Yes, we're talking about Imtiaz Ali and Manoj Bajpayee. They shared a rather interesting moment at the awards, which appeared to be them discussing an upcoming movie.

Imtiaz Ali-Manoj Bajpayee turn buddies, rush out in the midst of OTTplay Awards 2025
While everybody was focused on who would win the OTTplay Award next, Imtiaz Ali tried to whisper certain something in Manoj Bajpayee's ears. Understanding that it is important and needs to be discussed in a space that is not-so-crowded, Manoj suggested taking the conversation outside the venue. That in itself is a big hint that they could be discussing if an opportunity has opened up for Bajpayee to be in one of Imtiaz Ali's movies.
Will Manoj Bajpayee be a part of Rockstar 2?
Your guess is as good as ours, for now. We believe that after hinting about Rockstar 2, Imtiaz Ali might be hunting for newer faces for the sequel. While Kumud Mishra played the mentor to Ranbir Kapoor's Jordan in the original film, we wouldn't be surprised if a similar opportunity opens up for Manoj Bajpayee in the sequel, only of course, this would be a character that would be more involved with the lead. But, there's no denying that Manoj Bajpayee might be considered for Imtiaz Ali's next movie, Rockstar sequel or not.

Both Imtiaz Ali and Manoj Bajpayee were elated to be a part of OTTplay Awards and take home the trophy. Bajpayee could barely contain his excitement, while Imtiaz Ali got emotional upon reuniting with Irshad Kamil. The actor won an award in best actor (popular) category for Despatch, while Imtiaz Ali took the trophy home for best director for Diljit Dosanjh-Parineeti Chopra starrer Amar Singh Chamkila.
