OTTplay Awards 2023: Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai wins Best Film on True Events

OTTplay Awards 2023 is back for the second time after hosting a successful OTT awards event last year. Here we celebrate and honour the incredible performers, filmmakers and storytellers in the field of OTT. In the category of Best Film on True Events, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai won the prestigious award as it ruled our hearts.

Winning speech

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai producer Vinod Bhanushali accepted the award from Anup Soni and said, "First of all, thank you so much OTTplay Awards 2023. When we started to make this film, the first person we went to was Manoj Bajpayee - of course, it takes the effort of so many people to make a film but that film becomes a success only when everyone works with sincerity." 

Vinod Bhanushali would also thank the core crew behind the film, including debutant director Apoorv Singh Karki and the writers involved. 

About Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai

The Manoj Bajpayee starrer courtroom drama is inspired by a real-life event that follows the fight of a teenage girl along with her parents and with the help of her determined lawyer against a self-proclaimed godman in the case of sexual harassment. The Apoorv Singh Karki directorial is written by Advocate P.C.Solanki, Karki and Deepak Kingrani. Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, which also has Adrija Sinha, Surya Mohan Kulshrestha, Nikhil Pandey, Priyanka Setia, Jaihind Kumar, Durga Sharma, Vipin Sharma and Abhijit Lahiri, is available to stream on ZEE5.
