While we are now all set to enter March 2024 after having witnessed two months and multiple award nights, we are now inching closer to the biggest gala of them all, the 96th Academy Awards, aka Oscars 2024. There is so much buzz around the prestigious night this year because 2023 felt like one of the golden years for cinema across the world, especially for Hollywood, which had Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, and Greta Gerwig's directorial in the same year. While the world is curious and hooked to every update, for India, we have now got to know where we can stream the event live.

Where & When to Watch Oscars 2024?

As per the latest update surfacing on the internet, in India, Oscars 2024 will stream live on Disney+ Hotstar. The event will be streamed live on the streaming platform on Monday, March 11. The timing, as per the Indian Standard Time, is said to be 4:00 am. The event will begin with the red carpet followed by the main event. The host this year is going to be Jimmy Kimmel, and this will be the fourth time for the talk show host.

India at the Oscars?

Last year, India made a dent at the Oscars as it brought home two trophies: one for Best Original Song for "Natu Natu" from RRR and Best Documentary for "The Elephant Whisperers." This year, there is only one documentary in the race directed by Nisha Pahuja, titled "To Kill A Tiger." The documentary is now being backed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Big Contenders

There is no doubt that "Oppenheimer," directed by Christopher Nolan, and "Barbie," directed by Greta Gerwig, will mostly be the highlights of the night. Other massive players are Martin Scorsese’s "The Killers Of The Flower Moon," Emma Stone’s "Poor Things," "Anatomy Of A Fall," "Holdovers," and a couple of others. It will be fun to see who takes home which trophy.
