A significant update has been issued by the makers of the upcoming Malayalam movie, Oru Kattil Oru Muri. The film is finally scheduled to open in theatres on October 4 after an extended wait. Several times starting in April, the movie's release was pushed back for unknown reasons. The film stars Hakkim Shajahan, Priyamvada Krishnan, and Poornima Indrajith as its three principal performers. There are currently no other significant Malayalam releases scheduled for October.
Poornima Indrajith's character appears to be fixated on a cot, which she claims she shared the bed with her spouse for seven months, based on both the teaser and the trailer. In addition, Priyamvada's character is shown renting Poornima's home, while Hakkim Shajahan portrays a nighttime taxi driver. Hakkim and Priyamvada appear to be a young couple in love. All in all, it seems like a fascinating story with a few standout performances.
Early this year saw the debut of the first poster for the movie, which featured Poornima, Priyamvada, and Hakkim's characters. Shanavas K Bavakutty has helmed this project. Oru Kattil Oru Muri's script was written by veteran screenplay writer Reghunath Paleri, who has given a number of superhits for Malayalam cinema. Vijayaraghavan, Jaffer Idukki, Shammi Thilakan, and Ganapathi are among the supporting cast members.
Poornima Indrajith plays the middle-aged woman Akkamma, who has a Tamil origin, the director said in an exclusive interview with The New Indian Express. He went on to clarify that while he had first thought of casting a few well-known actors, he really wanted someone fresh who had never taken on a role like this.
He had also told her that she would be perfect for the role, despite the Randam Bhavam star's opinion that a more prominent actress would be a better fit for the film. Expectations were built for another outstanding performance from the actress based on her appearance and brief appearance in the movie's trailer and teaser.
