Udhayanidhi Stalin has bid adieu to his acting career with Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan. The film has become the fitting swan song to the actor, who made a smashing debut with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012). The actor plays the estranged son of an MLA from an oppressed community, who later takes on dominant caste forces with all his might. Udhayanidhi has been receiving accolades for his performance in the film.

As Udhayanidhi hangs his boots as an actor, here's a look at three films of the Maamannan star that are currently streaming on Sun NXT.

Gethu

This action thriller, helmed by Krish Thirukumaran, had Udhayanidhi Stalin playing a librarian named Sethu. When his father, Thulasi Raman (Sathyaraj), a teacher, is falsely accused of killing a man, Sethu sets out to find the real culprit. The film marked his maiden collaboration with Amy Jackson and it opened to mixed reviews at the box office.

Nanbenda

When Udhayanidhi Stalin and Santhanam team up for a film, one can be rest assured that the duo will bring the house down with their comic relief. Nanbenda, the romantic comedy by Jagadish is no exception. While the chemistry between the film's leading lady Nayanthara and Udhayanidhi Stalin, impressed many, the show stealers indeed were the combo of Santhanam and Udhayanidhi. This Udhayanidhi's second film with Nayanthara after Ithu Kathirvelan Kadhal.

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi

Udhayanidhi Stalin's maiden venture Oru Kal Oru Kannadi is about a youngster, who tries to go out of his way to impress his lady love, but hardly finds any success. But a phone call changes the equation. The film was a complete commercial potboiler and was a massive success at the box office. The film also gave rise to the hit duo of Udhayanidhi and Santhanam, who later went to work together in other films as well. The film, directed by M Rajesh, ran for over 175 days in theatres.
