The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam have confirmed that the movie will have a theatrical release soon. The social drama is slated to hit the big screen on March 1. Aju Varghese, Subish Sudhi, and Gouri G Kishan are playing the lead roles in this film.

Shelly, Vineeth Vasudev, Darsana S Nair, Gokulan, Lal Jose, and Jaffer Idukki are among the supporting cast of Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam. The movie's teaser, which was released earlier this month, suggested a story about birth control awareness in rural areas.

A song titled Aake Thaarumaarithu, which was out on February 15, showed Gouri G Kishan playing a government worker tasked with raising public awareness of male-specific birth control options.

Other Malayalam releases on March 1

Hakkim Shajahan’s action drama Kadakan, Chandunadh’s thriller Secret Home, and Meena’s Aanandhapuram Diaries are also premiering on March 1. Indrajith Sukumaran’s romantic comedy Marivillin Gopurangal and Vishak Nair-starrer Exit are also expected to release this week.

The release of Nadirshah’s Once Upon A Time In Kochi was postponed due to the strike organised by the Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) temporarily ceasing the release of Malayalam films in theatres starting today (February 23). These are also expected to hit the big screen in the first two weeks of March.
