Ori Devuda is the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Oh My Kadavule (that originally starred Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh) written and directed by Marimuthu. Vishwak Sen, Mithila Palkar and Asha Bhat essayed the lead roles in the Telugu version produced by Param V Polturi and Pearl V Potluri under PVP Cinema in association with Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film released to positive responses all over the globe on October 21 and is now gearing up for its OTT premiere.
Telugu OTT platform aha has acquired the streaming rights for Ori Devuda and will premiere the film on November 11. The news was confirmed by the streamer on their social media handle, where they added, "Devuda o manchi devuda tinadaniki paalakura pappu ichhavu, alu fry ichhavu, nalage e prapancham lo unna vallandari kosam chudadaniki aha lo "Oridevuda" Ichhavu. Maa PD meeku koncham kottaga anipinchochhu. #OriDevudaOnAHA Premieres tonight at 12am."
The story revolves around Arjun (Vishwak) and Anu (Mithila), inseparable friends since childhood, who decide to get married. While Anu is keen on the marriage, Arjun feels he's jumping the gun too quickly. They eventually tie the knot and Anu’s father even gets Arjun a job in his ceramic store. However, Arjun struggles to accept Anu as his wife and the relationship doesn't pan out as expected. Things takes a turn for the worse when Arjun finds himself attracted to his school senior Meera (Asha Bhat).
With cinematography by Vidhu Ayyanna, the film has music by Leon James and dialogues by Pelli Choopulu filmmaker Tharun Bhascker. Vijay Mukthavarapu had edited the film. Meanwhile, Oh My Kadavule, the film that inspired Ori Devuda, can be watched on ZEE5.
