Vishwak Sen is readying himself for Ori Devuda, his second theatrical release in the calendar year on October 21, after the much acclaimed Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. The entertainer, releasing for Diwali, features Mithila Palkar and Asha Bhat as female leads and is written, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. After the fantastic response to the theatrical trailer launched a few days ago, the team launched the film's third single, Gundellonaa, earlier today. Leon James composes the music for the film.
Gundellona is a catchy rain-dance number sung by Anirudh Ravichander and lyricised by Kasarla Shyam. The song revolves around the film's pivotal characters - Arjun and Meera - played by Vishwak and Asha Bhat, who reconnect after many years and romance blossoms between the two. Meera is portrayed as a woman with a passion for dance and Arjun is completely smitten by her charm. The number is an expression of his enthusiasm, capturing the spring in his step after he meets the woman of his dreams.
The rain, the infectious musical hook, Kasarla Shyam's exuberant lyrics bursting with joie de vivre and Anirudh's energetic rendition instantly grab your attention. Vishwak's expressive face, the fantastic choreography and Asha Bhat's elegance adds to the appeal of Gundellonaa. If the previous song, Avunanavaa, brought depth to the album, this one will get you grooving. One must acknowledge the fact that the team of Ori Devuda is building the momentum well leading up to the film's release.
Vidhu Ayyana has cranked the camera for the film and Sathish Krishnan is the choreographer. Vijay Mukthavarapu is the editor of the film while Tharun Bhascker has penned the dialogues. Pearl V Potluri and Param V Potluri have bankrolled the film under PVP Cinema and Sri Venkateswara Creations. Vamsi Kaka is the executive producer. Ori Devuda is the official remake of the Tamil hit Oh My Kadavule that starred Ashok Selvan, Vani Bhojan and Ritika Singh.
