Vishwak Sen, who stole the show with an earnest performance in Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, will be return in another energetic on-screen avatar for Ori Devuda, the Telugu remake of the new-age rom-com Oh My Kadavule, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, releasing on October 21. At the pre-release event, the actor was beaming with enthusiasm about the film and his team.
“Ram Charan has been a very inspirational figure in my life. I know the pressure he would’ve had being the son of Chiranjeevi and carving his niche in films. I thank him, SS Rajamouli sir for representing Indian cinema on a global stage. Be it Nani, Venkatesh garu and now, you - all of them have supported me at various stages of my life and I will never forget this gesture,” Vishwak said.
“I thank PVP sir for convincing me to do this film after my initial apprehension. My director Ashwath Marimuthu has come up with a wonderful story and I am so confident of it that I’ll be speaking more about at its success meet. Mark my words, he’ll be a force to reckon with, in Indian cinema. Not only him, but also our cinematographer Vidhu Ayanna, music director Leon James too,” he added.
He confessed to be a fanboy of Mithila Palkar for her digital appearances and expressed his happiness to share screen space with her. “People have already fallen in love with Asha Bhat for her rain song and they’ll go crazy about her after they watch the film. My executive producer Vamsi (Kaka) took good care of me during the shoot, much like a heroine (laughs).”
With cinematography by Vidhu Ayanna and music by Leon James, Ori Devuda is edited by Vijay Mukthavarapu. Venkatesh Kakumanu, Venkatesh Daggubati, Murali Sharma, Nagineedu, Rahul Ramakrishna and others play key roles too. Produced by Param V Potluri and Pearl V Potluri under PVP Cinema and Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film has dialogues by Tharun Bhascker.
