Only Murders in the Building Season 3: When and where to watch the neighbourhood sleuths back in action

Savage, Putnam and Mabel could try staying away from trouble as much as they can, but trouble would just not let them be. The unassuming, true-crime junkie Arconians are soon back to their sleuth(y) ways and keeping the tradition alive, they resume things once again with a massive homicide to solve. And now that they have done it successfully twice over, you might as well hope and expect them to come through one more time.

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 is all set to knock on our doors this August and the early reviews suggest that it is one worth all the wait. And to make things more intriguing, convoluted and, of course, better, we have got new players, schemers and suspects to the mix.

When and Where to Watch Only Murders in the Building Season 3

The third season of the hit show will take off from where we were left off in episode ten of the second season. Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building will arrive on Disney+ Hotstar India on August 8 with the first two episodes, potentially, dropping that day. The rest of the season is likely to unfold week by week and conclude on October 3, 2023.

One for the Ages

Personally, I was quite kicked seeing comedy legends Martin Short and Steve Martin reuniting and rekindling their mojo, but the presence of Selena Gomez to form a most eccentric troika makes it too hard to pass up. The three complement each other extremely well, they assume their respective roles with finesse and it is apparent even from the other end of the screen that their camaraderie is genuine. It helps that the writers bestow them with an unorthodox plot and some luscious lines to make things all the more worthwhile.

And joining them for Season 3 are two other accomplished names in the form of Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep. The former, of course, resumes his role as the popular theatre/Hollywood star Ben Gilroy in the upcoming season and presumedly infuses life (quite literally) into the character that made a slightly bizarre entry into the scheme of things. 

Meryl Streep, on the other hand, plays Loretta, a seasoned actress who has never really got her big break. It would be super interesting to see how she fits into the puzzle and whether, or not, this great casting coup would pay off. Ashley Park, too, is part of Only Murders in the Building Season 3.

And, of course, Season 3 will most definitely focus on Rudd's Ben Gilroy's (spoiler alert) sudden drop-dead moment in the finale of Season 2. Savage, Putnam and Mabel get together one more time, much to our delight, to conduct an investigation and more importantly, reprise their podcasting duties. The trio also has respective personal lives to reckon with but the more pressing issue on hand is that there have got not one but countless suspects this time around.
