Dhanush and Nithya Menen's Thiruchitrambalam, which hit screens on August 21, 2022 emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office last year. The romantic family drama, written and directed by Mithran R Jawahar, had Dhanush and Nithya Menen playing the lead along with Raashi Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Munishkanth, Sriranjini, Stunt Silva and Aranthangi Nisha.
As the film recently completed a year of release, the team recently got together for an intimate celebration of the first anniversary. Dhanush was spotted in his D50 look at the party, while Nithya Menen sizzled in her golden-hued attire. The team was seen having a gala time chatting with each other.
Dhanush, who became emotional about the film, dropped a few pictures from the party and wrote on his social media handle, "There is so much to be thankful for. Don't know where to start. A film and family that means so much to me , that I miss everyday. Thank you all for making this film extra special for us. 1 year of Thiru and Shobana #thiruchitrambalam (sic)."
Thiruchitrambalam is an upbeat tale about Thiru aka Pazham (Dhanush), his best friend (Nithya), father (Prakash Raj), and grandfather (Bharathiraja).
Prakash Raj, wrote that he was glad to relive the memories from the set. His post read, "Reliving.. cherishing .. wonderful moments with the team of the soulful #Thiruchitrambalam .. thank you audience for all your love n warmth @dhanushkraja @sunpictures #NithyaMenon (sic)."
Thiruchitrambalam marks the comeback of the hit combo of Anirudh Ravichander and Dhanush, who are fondly known DnA. The songs from the album, Thaai Kelavi, Megham Karukaatha, Life of Pazham and Thenmozhi, went on to become chartbusters.
While cinematography for the film is by Om Prakash, editing is by Prasanna GK. Thiruchitrambalam is bankrolled by Sun Pictures and the film is currently streaming on Sun NXT.
