The makers of the Malayalam film Once Upon A Time in Kochi have decided to reschedule its theatrical release. The action follows the strike that the Kerala Film Exhibitors United Organisation (FEUOK) has declared. Originally scheduled for release on February 23, the film is directed by Nadirshah. The new release date has not been disclosed by the makers.
FEUOK declared that they would be temporarily stopping the release of Malayalam films from February 23. They went on strike as a result of the producers' inability to work with the Kerala Film Exhibitors United Organisation to resolve the agreement's violations regarding the release of films on OTT platforms following a 42-day theatrical run.
Mubin M Rafi, son of director, actor, and screenwriter Rafi, is about to make his acting debut in this film. Mubin portrays Haibi, who is fighting a drug gang in Kochi in order to save his girlfriend. Arjun Ashokan plays a devoted police officer in the scene, driven to capture mafia members and their cronies.
It also shows how the film contains all the elements of a great family film, such as humour, catchy soundtracks, and thrilling action sequences. Shine Tom Chacko has a significant role in this movie as well. Devika Sanjay, who has acted in Makal and Njan Prakashan, is the film's female lead.
Johny Antony, Baiju Santhosh, Jaffar Idukki, Raffi, Neha Saxena, Shivajith, Malavika Menon, Aswath Lal, Saju Navodaya, Kalabhavan Haneef, Sminu Sijo, Riyaz Khan, and Sudheer Karamana are among the supporting cast.
Director Rafi wrote the script for Once Upon a Time in Kochi. Rafi and Nadirshah have teamed up on their first project together with this movie. The soundtrack composers for the film are Nadirshah and Hesham Abdul Wahab. B K Harinarayanan, Suhail M Koya, Shaheera Nazeer, and Kunwar Juneja (Hindi) wrote the lyrics for the soundtracks.
