Released in the year 2018, Kedarnath is a beautifully depicted Bollywood film which encircled the life of a man named Mansoor, a porter by profession, who fell in love with a girl named Mukku, the beautiful and rebellious daughter of a priest. But their love is put to the test amid misunderstandings and nature's wrath.
The film, which threw light on a unique love story that developed just days before the Kedarnath floods hit the state of Uttarakhand, featured actors Sushant Singh Rajput as Mansoor and Sara Ali Khan as Mukku.
The scenic beauty of the mountains and rivers depicted in the movie still continues to win hearts on the internet. Not only this, but its soul refreshing music – with songs like Namo Namo, and Qaafirana - also went on to become chartbusters of the year.
With this movie, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan entered the world of Bollywood. She even had thanked her costar Sushant Singh Rajput for his countless efforts towards the film.
Today, the world is marking the death anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput. On this day, Sara Ali Khan penned down a lovely note for her costar and late actor Sushant. She wrote, “On our way to Kedarnath for the first time. On my way to shoot for the first time. And I know neither are ever going to feel the same again. But somewhere between action, cut, sunrise, rivers, clouds, moonlight, Kedarnath and Allah Hoo I know you’re there. Keep shining amongst your stars. From Kedarnath to Andromeda.”
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, 2020. His death sparked a series of controversies, many of whom believed it was a cold-blooded murder. His death case is still under investigation by the government agencies.
