The trailer for OMG 2 is finally out. After postponing the launch in the wake of Nitin Desai's tragic death, the makers dropped the trailer on August 3, 2023. The film, which is a sequel to Oh My God!, which was released in 2012, is set against the backdrop of the Indian education system. In the film, Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of Lord Shiva's devotee, and when he is in trouble, one of the Shiv-Gan members is sent to Earth to help him.
The trailer begins with Lord Shiv asking Nandi to do so, and then we see Pankaj's character being both the accused and the defendant in the case. His son gets expelled from school after being caught in a "vulgar" act, so he is ready to take action against the school. However, then comes Yami Gautam, who fights the case in favour of the school. Amid all this, Akshay makes an appearance as a celestial being in support of his devotee.
The film tackles sex education as well as teenage suicides due to guilt and pressure.

The makers described OMG 2 as "Life is bliss until one day Kanti Sharan Mudgal’s son Vivek is blamed for immoral conduct and expelled from school. Overwhelmed, Kanti plans to leave town until a divine intervention leads him to seek justice by taking those responsible to court."
Amit Rai has directed and penned the screenplay for the film, which is produced by Cape Of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios, Swaroop Paresh Rawal, Hemal A. Thakkar, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl.
Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who earlier directed Samrat Prithviraj, featuring Akshay Kumar in the titular role, is the creative producer of OMG 2.
The film is set to hit the big screen on August 11, 2023.
