PremiumOMG 2 trailer: Akshay Kumar's character changed from Lord Shiva to the "messenger" of God
The changes have been made amid reports of several cuts demanded from the film by the CBFC.

Several reports were making the rounds that many cuts have been made in OMG 2, which features Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. One of the speculations was that Akshay's character would be changed from Lord Shiva to the messenger of God. Now that the trailer for OMG 2 is out, the report has indeed turned out to be true. The trailer shows that Akshay plays the role of the messenger and not God himself.
The trailer starts with the voice of Lord Shiva from the universe talking to Nandi the bull, which loosely translates as "Nandi, a great calamity is about to befall my devotee... Take someone from my Shiv-Gan to help my devotee."
Soon after that, we see Pankaj's character, Kanti Sharan Mudgal, fighting a case against his son's school for expelling him on the grounds of a "vulgar" act. Soon after, we see Akshay as the "messenger" of God, making an entry and being a support to Kanti. However, the trailer doesn't show fully how the alterations have been made.

Talking about the synopsis, in OMG 2, life is blissful until one day Vivek Mudgal, son of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, is accused of immoral behaviour and expelled from school. Kanti is so overwhelmed that he intends to leave town, but a spiritual intervention prompts him to pursue retribution by suing those responsible.
Apart from Akshay and Pankaj, the social drama also features Yami Gautam in the role of a lawyer. Amit Rai directed the film as well as penned the screenplay and dialogue. Dr. Chandraprakesh Dwivedi of Chanakya fame is the creative producer of OMG 2.
