After months and weeks of waiting, at last, today (August 11), is the day when the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG2’ has ultimately released in theatres. Buoyed by the success of the first part of the film ‘OMG: Oh My God’, the makers are seemingly leaving no stone unturned as far as the film’s sequel ('OMG 2') is concerned. And the hysteria for the Akshay Kumar is something that has to be see in order to be believed.
Despite a few flops in the recent times that Akshay Kumar had at the box-office, his pull at the ticket windows have not mellowed down even a bit. The magic of this pull can be witnessed everywhere where people are queueing up to buy tickets for OMG2. But, in Mumbai, specifically in Bandra-based Gaiety Galaxy theatres, fans can be seen pouring milk over the large posters of the film ‘OMG2’ which has been placed at the entrance of theatres. Besides pouring milk, these fans can also be seen showering large amounts of flower petals on the film’s poster and shouting 'Har Har Mahadev'. Well, if that wasn’t frenzy enough, then, check out the adjacent photograph, wherein it is seen that a fan from Odisha had come to see the film ‘OMG 2’ dressed up as Lord Shiva!
As for the film, ‘OMG 2’ stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the leading roles. Those who have seen the film just cannot stop raving about the film and its content (read ‘film’s premise/ plot). For the unversed, the film plot of ‘OMG 2’ deals with the ‘never-before-attempted’ topic of masturbation. Those who have seen the film simply cannot stop raving about the sensitivity with which the film’s director Amit Rai has handled the said topic, without going overboard even a bit.
At the box-office, the Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer ‘OMG2’ will be seen clashing with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s most awaited sequel ‘Gadar 2’ and also the eternal superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited film ‘Jailer’.
