Om: The Battle Within — Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi's actioner gets a July release date

Aditya Roy Kapur on Thursday (March 10) announced that his upcoming action film Om: The Battle Within will release in cinemas on July 1.

Kapur shared a release date poster, which features him in a beefed-up avatar and firing from a machine gun.

The film, which also stars Sanjana Sanghi (who debuted with Dil Bechara), is directed by newcomer Kapil Verma and backed by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan and Shaira Khan via Paperdoll Entertainment. Akshat R Saluja has penned the screenplay. 

Producer Ahmed had previously said that the story will revolve around "emotionally disturbed relationships in the line of duty."

The announcement of Om: The Battle Within was made on 16 November 2020, which was Kapur's 35th birthday. The team began shooting for the film in December that year. 

Kapur was last seen in Anurag Basu’s Ludo along with Sanya Malhotra, Abhishek Bachchan, Asha Negi, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others.
