After Aavesham, Fahadh Faasil gears up for another festive release in 2024 with this romcom

Fahadh Faasil is now set to have yet another festive release in 2024, after the massive success of Aavesham. The National Award-winning actor is teaming up with actor-filmmaker Althaf Salim for his next outing, Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira. The movie, which is touted to be a light-hearted romantic comedy, stars popular actress Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead. After a long wait, Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira finally started rolling in Kochi today (April 29, 2024).

Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira to get a Christmas 2024 release

The highly anticipated project, which reportedly narrates a unique love story, started rolling in Kochi with a grand pooja ceremony. Even though the lead actors, Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan gave the event a miss due to their busy schedules, the pooja ceremony was attended by the rest of the team members and a few guests. Ashiq Usman, who is the producer of Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, took to his official social media handles and confirmed that the movie is slated to get a Christmas 2024 release.

“Odum kuthira Chadum kuthira... Rolling from today. Expecting your love, prayers and support like always. See you in theatres this Christmas,” reads the film producer’s Instagram post. Director Althaf Salim’s wife Shruti Shikhamani performed the ‘first clap’ of the film. The movie marks the Premalu actor’s comeback to filmmaking after a long gap of 7 years. Althaf’s debut directorial, Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela, was a critical and commercial success.

Odum kuthira Chadum kuthira cast and crew

In a recent interview, Fahadh Faasil revealed that Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira is a boy-meets-girl kind of love story, that stars him and Kalyani Priyadarshan as the lead pair. The Althaf Salim directorial features a stellar star cast including Lal, Renji Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Suresh Krishna, Baby Antony, Nandu, Johny Antony, Revathi Pillai, Anuraj, Edavela Babu, Vineeth Chakyar, Sreekath Vettiyar, Athira Niranjana, and others in the supporting roles.

Director-editor Abhinav Sundar Nayak handles the editing of the movie. Jinto George is the director of photography. Ashwini Kale handles the production design.
