Occupancy for Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty picks up, two-day box office collections are here

Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty marks the comeback of Anushka Shetty to the big screen after a long gap of five years. She has been paired up with a solid performer, Naveen Polishetty in this film which has been directed by Mahesh Babu P. 

The romantic drama was released on September 7, 2023, alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. As the SRK film opened with an impact, Miss Shetty was pushed aside a bit and made only Rs 4 crores net worldwide on day one.

Well, things changed slowly on day two as the film made Rs 2.5 crores net worldwide. With this, the total collections of the film are Rs 6.5 crores net. The best aspect of the film is that the occupancy of the film started to grow rapidly from the evening and night shows on day two. 

The trade is expecting a big number on day three. In fact, the news is that collections on day three will be better than on days one and two. Naveen Polishetty is in the US as of now and is watching the film with the audience. 

This has helped the film big time as the numbers in the US are growing rapidly. As per the update, Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty has made $575,412 so far and the first weekend estimate is $900k which is solid. But the film needs to do well in India and the makers have planned some extensive promotions once Naveen Polishetty heads back from the US.

The OTT rights of Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty have been grabbed by Netflix and the film will premiere in the second week of October 2023, as per the news. Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty is about a chef in her late 30s who decides to become a mother without marriage. Naveen Polishetty plays a standup comedian in this film and he is approached by Anushka for donating his sperm. All this is showcased in a fun manner by Mahesh Babu P.
