Nushrratt Bharuccha is one of the versatiel actresses in the Hindi film industry. With films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Chhorri, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Chatrapathi and Dream Girl, the actress has made a place for herself in the entertainment world. 

In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, the talented actress Nushrratt talked about her much anticipated film, 'Akelli' and also shed light on the emotional turmoil the actress had to go through by playing such a hard-hitting character. She said, "I let myself go through that emotional turmoil and the toll because when you are saying a story like this of a girl, you can’t even begin to imagine what in reality happens to them and not once but its repeated and happens for years."

"When when Iraq was attacked, women don’t even know why they were being grounded up and detained and caught because they were going to be sold not once, but many times for the simple purpose of being raped by those men, acts of brutality was done on women which you can’t even imagine. I was not able to read the articles, that's what has happened with them. So when I got a chance to do this film I had to fully surrender because I am telling someones' storyand it will never be enough to show what they go through," she added.

Along with Vicky Sidana & Shashant Shah, Akelli is produced by Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, and Aparna Padgaonkar of Dashami Studioz. Nushratt plays the major character in Pranay Meshram's suspense drama. The movie Akelli is scheduled to open in theaters on August 25.
